The first chamber music recital of the autumn is a feast of string quartets at Turku Castle. Prokofiev’s String Quartet no. 1 is rarely performed but is brisk, rhythmic and energetic. It is paired with Debussy’s classic, a more Impressionist and freely conceived number. Dessert, as it were, comes in the form of the lovely and popular piano piece Claire de lune, arranged here for string quartet.
The concert will be held in the King's Hall. Information about fully accessible entrance can be found at the Turku Castle's website: https://www.turku.fi/en/turku-castle/welcome-museum/accessibility
The length of the concert is about 1 hour. No intermission.
