Super popular SAGAS – Orchestral Fantasy Music -concerts the over the Concert Hall on week 43. On Wednesday the 21st, Thursday the 22nd and Friday the 23rd at 7 pm adventure fantasy´s greatest themes will be performed. In addition there will be four school concerts during the week. Ticket sale has been opened to school concerts Thu 22nd at 12.30 pm and Fri 23rd at 12.30 pm to audience as well due to great demand. All the concerts are almost sold out. Esa Heikkilä is leading the audience in the world of fantasy music. Soloist is Sabina Zweiacker who is known for her fantasy music interpretations. The concerts are hosted by Orvar Säfström and as magnificent choir is the great Chorus Cathedralis Aboensis. The concerts are productions of the popular Underscore Productions.
Music from the most popular movie and game soundtracks is heard in the concerts. In the thrilling abyss of adventure fantasy great music from i.a. movies The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter as well as games World of Warcraft and Skyrim is heard. Also glorious tones from the themes of celebrated Game of Thrones -series is performed.
Esa Heikkilä is Lohja City Orchestra´s and symphony orchestra Vivo´s artistic director. He also works as orchestra and chamber music lecturer in Lahti University of Applied Sciences and leads Lahden nuori sinfoniaorkesteri. The Arts Council of Häme awarded Heikkilä in year 2009 with Cultural Act Prize for his long term and broad work as young people´s music educator.
In spring 2013 Sabina Zweiacker made her recognized debut in JOYSTICK 5.0 -concert with Malmö Synphony Orchestra and has since charmed the audience in many sold out Underscore Productions´ concerts.
Orvar Säfström is one of the central characters in Sweden´s cultural life. He has been awarded with Sweden´s game industry´s honorary prize as well as Sweden´s video game organization´s Player of the Year -prize. In the world of symphony Orvar Säfström is a leading producer of game music concerts in the Scandinavia.
Symphony choir Chorus Cathedralis Aboensis´ (CCA) main tasks are performances with Turku Cathedral´s services and collaboration with Turku Philharmonic Orchestra. CCA has also performed with i.a. RSO, Helsinki City Orchestra, Tampere Filharmonia, Tapiola Sinfonietta and Jyväskylä Sinfonia. Also they have had collaboration with the French Orchestre National du Lorraine.
