Come and enjoy the excitement of the finals of the 15th National Cello Competition in Turku! The finals will feature performances by some of Finland’s most talented young cellists, who will play a selection of the most significant works in the cello repertoire. The awards ceremony will take place after the finals on Friday. The Musical Society in Turku has organized the competition since 1972. The cello competitions have played an undeniably important role in raising the standard of cello playing in Finland to an international level.
