Annika Sinisalo

Annika Sinisalo, born in Helsinki, began playing the violin at Käpylä Music Institute under the guidance of Ahti Valtonen. She continued her professional studies at the Sibelius Academy, graduating with a Master of Music degree in 2021. She has participated in masterclasses with Kerson Leong, Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Joan Kwuon, and Anna-Liisa Bezrodny, and has also studied baroque violin with Minna Kangas.

Annika played in the Lappeenranta City Orchestra from 2021 to 2024, serving as both second and first concertmaster. Since the autumn season of 2024, she has held the position of second concertmaster with the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra.

In her free time, Annika enjoys spending time with her two cats and going on small aircraft trips with her husband.
