Your visit

Location

Turku Concert Hall (Aninkaistenkatu 9, 20100 Turku) is perfectly situated in the heart of the city, right on Puutori Square. Whether you’re arriving by bus, train, or car, getting here is easy. The bus station is just a 5-minute walk from the Concert Hall. Logomo Railway Station is less than 1 km away making it easily accessible by train.

If you arrive by car, we suggest parking at the Puutori underground car park right next to the Concert Hall, or choose the nearby Toriparkki car park under the Market Square.

Arriving at the event

We recommend arriving early to fully enjoy your visit. The main doors open one hour before the event, giving you time to settle in. The café also opens at the same time and stays open until the end of the interval (for events with intermissions). The concert hall doors typically open 15 minutes before the start of the performance.

If you’re purchasing tickets at the door, please arrive at least 30 minutes before the event to avoid missing out.

To maintain the best concert experience for all, latecomers are not admitted once the performance has begun. However, if there’s an interval, you’ll be allowed to enter at that time. Unfortunately, for events without an interval, late arrivals cannot be accommodated.

Temporary stopping in front of the Concert Hall is also allowed for dropping off passengers, but the car cannot be parked in front of the Hall. You can see the enctrance fo the Concert Hall here.

Entrance and lobby spaces

The left door of the main doors is an automatic door with the opening button on the left side of the door. The ticket office door is also automatic, and its button is on the left side of the door.

The lobby spaces are accessible, although the coatroom’s service counter is high for customers who use wheelchairs. It is recommended that wheelchair-using customers use the right side of the coatroom’s service counter, as that will allow storing clothes past the counter. Accessible access to the lower lobby café is also located here.

The Concert Hall’s toilet facilities are located on the first floor, where there is also one toilet facility for people with reduced mobility.

The entrance to the concert hall is from the upper lobby. A long and steep ramp leads up there. Lobby attendants will help customers with reduced mobility to move up and down the ramp when requested. The Concert Hall also has two wheelchairs available for customer use. They are intended for customers’ movement from the lobby to the hall, and they can be used by asking the lobby attendants.

Wheelchair spaces and personal assistants

See wheelchair seats here: TFO salikartta
Row 4 accessible seats (P1–P4) are located on a flat floor. Row 9 accessible seats (P5–P10) are located on an incline. The angle of inclination is 8.6–12.6% as the floor of the hall slopes towards the back of the hall.

Holders of an Accompaniment Card get free access to the events organised at the Turku Concert Hall with the person being assisted. Personal assistants have a reserved seat in the stands near accessible seats: in most cases next to the accessible seat, but in places P1. P2, P3, P4 and P12 the seat for assistant is located behind the accessible seat. It is not possible to place an assistant near P11.

Accessible seats can be purchased directly from the Turku Concert Hall ticket office, TFO.fi or Lippu.fi online shops and from Monitori at the Turku Market Square.

Tickets for accessible seats also include a place and entry for a personal assistant (the ticket states pyörätuoli + saattaja). At the accessible seats, there is a marking and sign on the floor of the hall indicating which seat is reserved for the assistant. If you need an assistant, but do not use a wheelchair, a separate ticket and seat in the hall must be booked and redeemed in good time through the Turku Concert Hall’s sales service before the event. All assistant tickets are free of charge.

The seats for personal assistants must be booked and redeemed well in advance before the event from the Turku Concert Hall ticket office.

Receiver for hearing impaired

There is no induction loop in the concert hall, but it is possible to borrow a portable audio device from the ticket office of the Concert Hall, which can be used with the supplied headphones.

Ticket office also uses portable service point loops, which can also be used in other customer service situations, for example when visiting the café.
