Dain Song

Dain Song is the principal flutist of the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra since 2022.

She studied at Seoul State University, where she received a Bachelor of Music degree with Hyeri Yoon, Yuki Koyama and Soyoung Lee. At the Sibelius Academy, Song studied with Petri Alanko and Yuki Koyama, graduating with a Master of Music degree in 2023. Song has also participated in several master classes.

Dain Song was the flute section principal of the Seoul Metropolitan Youth Orchestra from 2017 to 2019. Before joining the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra, she played with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Helsinki City Orchestra as an intern and was a substitute flute player with the Tapiola Sinfonietta.

Song has performed with the Seoul Metropolitan Orchestra and the Gunpo Prime Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also participated in the Prague Spring International Music Competition and the Gumho Young Artist and Gumho Young Chamber concert series.
