Raymond Briggs – Howard Blake – Dianne Jackson: The Snowman (1982)

The classic British animated film The Snowman, based on a book by Raymond Briggs, tells the nostalgic tale of a boy and a snowman who go adventuring on Christmas night. The charming music of Howard Blake spins a fairy-tale atmosphere. Directed by Dianne Jackson and premiered in 1982, the film won a BAFTA award for best children’s film. The film will be projected on screen in the concert hall, with the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra providing the soundtrack.

The concert is also suitable for the youngest members of the family, lasting about 30 minutes.
