Music in the Cathedral: Bach–Torikka–Uotinen

This dramatic stage production, combining the voices of baritone Waltteri Torikka and choreographer Jorma Uotinen with light and movement, is built around the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. The work is a tribute to Jorma Uotinen and his life’s work as a choreographer and dance artist. The concept was conceived by Waltteri Torikka, and the musical framework consists of Bach’s orchestral works and cantata and passion arias. The theme of the work revolves around the human journey through life: where we come from, who we are, and how our earthly journey ends.
